Website Promotional Ad
This advert for Preston Innovations was designed to promote the company’s new website.
My inspiration came after an initial idea of using the QR Code to represent the fact that through the new website, the company were embracing new ideas and technology. At the time of conception, the QR Code as a method of migrating print media to digital was in its infancy and I was one of the first to bring this to the niche tackle trade market.
The Preston Innovations logo worked perfectly when styled as a functioning QR Code.
The following edition of the magazine saw several other brands follow suit – with QR Codes on every other advert!
As a means of bringing customers to your website, the QR Code proved very useful – they were employed in various pieces from press advertising to packaging.
At the time, I had experimented with AR techniques to do a similar thing, but unfortunately the consumer wasn’t ready for this. Now AR is more in-vogue this could soon become an area of growth.
